Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to participate and express their beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, particularly when there’s significant public interest or disagreement about the likely outcome. Examining these differences can be insightful, but it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Yongin FC or Jeonnam Dragons will win the second half. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by the collective trading activity. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions of participants.

Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team formations, or even weather conditions could shift expectations and impact the odds.
