Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin, and may be influenced by public betting patterns. This market, driven by informed traders, tends to reflect a more accurate assessment of probabilities, potentially identifying discrepancies between public perception and the true likelihood of an outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on player rankings and historical data, the prediction market dynamically adjusts based on new information and collective intelligence, potentially offering more favorable odds for discerning bettors.
