Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. This can lead to differences, as the 'wisdom of the crowd' on Polymarket may weigh factors differently than sportsbook analysts. It's common to see prediction markets reflect information and opinions not fully captured by traditional betting markets, potentially offering more accurate probabilities, though this varies significantly by event.
