Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a different kind of information than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and attempt to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of a diverse group of individuals. This can lead to differences in probabilities, especially when public sentiment strongly favors one outcome. While sportsbooks may incorporate public perception, prediction markets *are* public perception. This market, for example, may show a different probability for Jacksonville Dolphins vs. Florida Gators than a traditional sportsbook.
