In the upcoming J2 League game between Ōita Trinita and Albirex Niigata, scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 1:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Ōita Trinita vs. Albirex Niigata match originally scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 1:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market reflects the wisdom of the crowd, and can shift rapidly based on new information or changing sentiment. It’s worthwhile to compare both to gain a comprehensive understanding.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of specific outcomes. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust, creating a dynamic and efficient forecast. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand, meaning that if many traders believe a particular outcome is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Ōita Trinita versus Albirex Niigata match, specifically the exact score, will be used to determine the winning share(s). Resolution will occur promptly after the match concludes and the official score is publicly available. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the market’s pricing at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or significant shifts in player form could all impact predictions. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, as could pre-game analysis from sports commentators. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants could signal new information or a change in sentiment. Keep an eye on these developments as they unfold, as they are all likely to cause fluctuations in the price of shares in this market.
