Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Differences in pricing between Polymarket and Kalshi for this market can arise due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structures, which can influence how odds are set. Furthermore, the volume traded on each platform – currently $16,366 overall – isn’t necessarily distributed equally. Market makers and individual traders may have differing opinions and risk appetites on each venue, leading to discrepancies in the perceived probabilities of each outcome. These factors contribute to the price variations observed between Polymarket and Kalshi.
