The outcome corresponding to Namibia will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Namibia. The outcome corresponding to Ireland will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Ireland. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market aggregates the insights of many individual traders. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's strong public sentiment or information not yet fully incorporated into sportsbook odds. It's common to see differences in implied probabilities, with this market sometimes identifying undervalued or overvalued outcomes compared to initial sportsbook offerings.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player being the top batter. As more shares are purchased for a particular player, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, with traders adjusting their positions based on new information, team news, or changes in player form. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs across all One Day International matches in the Ireland Tour of Namibia. The official match results will be used to determine the top batter, and the outcome will be verified against credible public sources. Traders holding shares in the winning player’s outcome will be entitled to a payout.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries or changes to the playing lineups would likely cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected weather conditions that might favor certain batting styles could also influence trading activity. Furthermore, strong performances by players in preceding matches, or even in other recent tournaments, could lead traders to reassess their probabilities. Finally, any expert analysis or commentary predicting a player's success or failure could also move the market.
