The outcome corresponding to Ireland will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Ireland. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook odds which are set by professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or focus on traditional metrics, whereas this market aggregates diverse perspectives. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that prediction market traders have access to information or insights not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines. It’s common to see the odds on Polymarket converge with sportsbook odds as the event approaches, but differences can persist, particularly if new information emerges.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular player, the price of those shares increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure decreases the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the collective intelligence of the traders.
This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs across all One Day International (ODI) matches in the Ireland Tour of Namibia. In the event of a tie, the market will consider pre-defined tie-breaking rules, which are available on Polymarket. The final result will be determined by official match statistics and verified against credible public sources, ensuring a fair and accurate settlement.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts affecting playing conditions could shift the odds. Strong performances by a particular player in warm-up matches or recent games would also likely increase their chances. Unexpected announcements about pitch conditions or strategic changes could also influence trading activity. Furthermore, any significant public endorsements or expert analysis favoring a specific player might drive increased volume and price movement in this market.
