This market refers to the cricket match between Namibia and Ireland scheduled for October 30 2026 at 3:30 AM ET in Ireland Tour of Namibia ODIs. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can sometimes differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action on both sides, while this market's odds are driven purely by supply and demand – what traders are willing to pay for a share representing a particular outcome. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price of that share will rise, potentially offering better value than traditional betting options. It's a fascinating comparison of different forecasting methods.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their beliefs about the outcome of the Namibia vs Ireland ODI series. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher probability. Conversely, if more people sell, the price decreases. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring, providing a dynamic and real-time assessment of expectations. This creates a market-driven forecast, distinct from static odds offered elsewhere.
This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results of the Namibia vs Ireland ODI series, as reported by recognized sporting authorities. The market will determine which outcome – a win for Namibia or a win for Ireland – is the correct one based on the series result. Traders who hold shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final share price at resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market. Any news regarding team form, player injuries, or changes in playing conditions could shift expectations. Unexpected results in warm-up matches or significant weather forecasts impacting play could also cause price fluctuations. Major announcements about team selections or strategic changes might prompt traders to reassess their predictions. Overall, any information that alters the perceived probability of either team winning the Namibia vs Ireland ODI series has the potential to move the market.
