In the upcoming Premier League game between Ipswich Town FC and Nottingham Forest FC, scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Ipswich Town FC vs. Nottingham Forest FC match originally scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the probability of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups, and neither guarantees the actual event outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact first-half score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. This dynamic pricing means that the odds can change rapidly based on new information or shifts in sentiment, offering opportunities for informed traders to capitalize on perceived mispricings.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official result of the first half of the Ipswich Town FC versus Nottingham Forest FC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score at halftime will be used to determine the winning shares. It’s important to note that the resolution relies on official sources and is independent of any pre-match predictions or analyses. Traders should monitor official channels for the final result to understand the market's settlement.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market before resolution. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Ipswich Town FC or Nottingham Forest FC could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the style of play, might also move the market. Additionally, any significant pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators or unexpected lineup announcements could cause traders to reassess their probabilities, leading to price fluctuations in this market.
