Description

This prediction market asks which team will score the first goal in a soccer match between Ipswich Town FC and AFC Bournemouth. The market considers goals scored within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, and provides an option for 'Neither' if no goal is scored within that timeframe. Postponed or canceled games have specific resolution rules.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria regarding the first goal scored within the 90-minute match period, handling of postponements, cancellations, and fallback data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Flashscore and Sofascore are secondary sources.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If no team scores within the first 90 minutes plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponed games remain open until completion.
  • Canceled games resolve to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be accounted for.
Timing: Resolution will occur within 24 hours of the match's conclusion, or as soon as official statistics are available, whichever is sooner. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while prediction markets allow anyone to participate and express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's significant public information or sentiment not fully captured by sportsbook algorithms. The spread between prediction market prices and sportsbook odds can sometimes indicate opportunities for arbitrage, though transaction costs and platform fees should be considered.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Predict for this market can arise from several factors. Differences in user base, trading activity, and risk appetite contribute to varying valuations. Polymarket might attract a different demographic of traders compared to Predict, leading to distinct perspectives on the likelihood of each team scoring first. Furthermore, the volume traded on each platform – currently $0 in 24-hour volume – can influence price discovery. These factors result in differing probabilities for the same event, providing a more comprehensive view of market sentiment.

This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by which team – Ipswich Town FC or AFC Bournemouth – scores the first goal in the match. The resolution will be based on official match data and will be verified against credible public sources to ensure accuracy. The platform will then finalize the results and distribute payouts to winning traders based on their holdings in this market.

Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Nov 8, 2026. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Ipswich Town FC or AFC Bournemouth would likely impact the odds. Changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a recent match, could also shift trader sentiment. Even weather forecasts predicting adverse conditions on match day could influence the perceived likelihood of each team scoring first. Any significant public statements from team managers or key players could also contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
