In the upcoming match between Ipswich Town FC and AFC Bournemouth, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Ipswich Town FC" if Ipswich Town FC are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "AFC Bournemouth" if AFC Bournemouth are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Premier League (https://www.premierleague.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s odds are driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of people believe one team is more likely to score first, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been traded, as prediction markets can sometimes be more accurate than sportsbook odds due to the incentive structure.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand; if more people are buying shares in a particular team to score first, the price of those shares will increase, and vice versa. Currently, the most likely outcome, according to traders, has a chance of 49.0%.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on which team, if any, scores the first goal in the first half of the Ipswich Town FC vs. AFC Bournemouth match. The official match records will be used to determine the winning outcome. The platform will verify the result against reliable sources to ensure accuracy and finalize the market settlement.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Ipswich Town FC or AFC Bournemouth would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced shortly before kickoff could also shift trader sentiment. Even weather conditions on match day, such as heavy rain or strong winds, might be considered by traders. Any unexpected developments impacting team morale or perceived performance could also lead to price fluctuations in this market.
