Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market is driven by individual predictions and trading activity. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making, though it's important to remember they represent different types of forecasts.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the likelihood of both Ipswich and Nottingham Forest scoring. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective expectation of market participants. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are essentially betting against each other, creating a dynamic pricing mechanism that attempts to accurately forecast the event's outcome. The current price indicates the probability assigned to the event happening by those actively trading.

This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on whether both Ipswich and Nottingham Forest score at least one goal during the match. Official match data will be used to determine if both teams have scored, and that information will be used to settle the market. The final result will be publicly available once it has been verified.

Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Ipswich or Nottingham Forest would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also shift expectations. Unexpected lineup announcements closer to the match, or even significant pre-game commentary from analysts, could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market as traders react to new information.
