These markets track how many points Iowa State and Arizona will score together in the final quarter of their college football matchup. Each market has a different threshold, determining whether the combined score exceeds that amount.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Iowa St. vs Arizona college football game scheduled for Oct 24, 2026. For any market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Points from overtime do not count toward any market outcome.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and often incorporate a margin for profit, while this market allows traders to collectively express their beliefs about the likely outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and this market both attempt to accurately forecast the same event.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the 4th quarter total. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that total occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders can place buy or sell orders at specific prices, and the market price adjusts based on supply and demand. Higher prices indicate a lower probability, while lower prices suggest a higher probability. The market dynamically adjusts as new information becomes available and traders update their predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Iowa State vs Arizona 4th quarter is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored in the 4th quarter, as officially recorded by game officials, will determine the winning contracts. The resolution process relies on publicly available data to ensure an objective and transparent outcome. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in their account balances shortly after the game concludes and the official score is confirmed.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game ends. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Iowa State or Arizona would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. In-game performance during the first three quarters—such as a dominant offensive showing by one team—could lead traders to adjust their expectations for the 4th quarter total. Unexpected strategic decisions by the coaches could also play a role in how this market behaves.
