In the upcoming Canadian Premier League game between Inter Toronto FC and Cavalry FC, scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Inter Toronto FC vs. Cavalry FC match originally scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on team rankings and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and real-time adjustments based on trader activity. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions on injuries, weather conditions, or other factors influencing the game. It’s common to see prediction markets offer more competitive odds, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available, potentially identifying value not reflected in sportsbook pricing.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand – if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price and increasing its implied probability. Conversely, selling pressure will lower the price.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Inter Toronto vs. Cavalry FC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the relevant sporting authorities. The market will determine which exact score was the final result of the game, and shares in that outcome will pay out according to the market's pricing at the time of resolution. Any disputes regarding the official result will be handled according to Polymarket’s standard procedures.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Inter Toronto or Cavalry FC would likely cause price shifts. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they impact playing conditions, could also move the market. Unexpected announcements about team tactics or starting lineups could also lead to adjustments in trader sentiment. Finally, significant public betting activity on sportsbooks could influence traders on Polymarket, potentially creating arbitrage opportunities and driving price changes.
