Description

This prediction market asks for the winner of the second half of an MLS game between Inter Miami CF and New York City FC, or if the second half will end in a draw. Resolution is based on goals scored in the second half, including stoppage time.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, focusing on second-half goals and a defined source hierarchy.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, followed by Flashscore and Sofascore.

Core resolution logic:

  • The team scoring more goals in the second half (including stoppage time) wins.
  • If both teams score the same number of goals in the second half, the market resolves to a draw.
  • First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to a draw.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
Timing: Resolution occurs once the second half (including stoppage time) has concluded and the result can be definitively determined by the listed resolution source(s).Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly favors one outcome. However, both types of odds aim to accurately represent the probability of an event occurring, and comparing them can provide valuable insights for informed decision-making regarding this market.
