Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their money behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, the odds on Limitless will adjust accordingly, potentially offering a more accurate assessment of the true probability. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of trading occurs.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief in each outcome. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more people buy contracts for a specific team to win, the price increases, and the implied probability of that outcome rises. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the collective intelligence of the traders participating.
