These markets track the defensive performance of both teams in an upcoming football game by measuring how many times each team's defense tackles the opposing quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. The outcomes depend on whether specific thresholds of such tackles, known as sacks, are met by either team during the game.
All markets resolve based on the total number of sacks recorded by either Indianapolis or Minnesota during the Pro Football game scheduled for October 25, 2026. Sacks must occur during standard offensive plays; those made during 2-point conversion attempts are excluded. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from 2 to 6+ sacks) for each team, and resolves to Yes only if the corresponding team reaches or exceeds its threshold. The markets are independent of league affiliations, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders predicting the outcome. Discrepancies can arise from differing information sources, analytical approaches, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand within the prediction market. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or public perception shifts leading up to the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes for the total number of sacks. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting traders’ beliefs about the likelihood of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to represent the most up-to-date collective forecast. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to provide a real-time assessment of the expected number of sacks in the game.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final number of sacks recorded in the Indianapolis versus Minnesota game by official NFL statistics will determine the winning outcome. The resolution process relies on publicly available data to ensure an objective and transparent result. Traders will be able to see the final outcome reflected in their account balances shortly after the official game statistics are released.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Injury reports for key defensive players on either team would be a significant catalyst, as would any changes in the projected weather conditions for the game. Unexpected news regarding team strategies or coaching decisions could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any late-breaking analysis from sports analysts or changes in public perception regarding the teams’ defensive capabilities could lead to shifts in the market price before Oct 25, 2026.
