This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between New Zealand and India scheduled for October 22 2026 at 3:00 AM ET in India Tour of New Zealand T20s. The outcome corresponding to New Zealand will be considered correct if New Zealand is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to India will be considered correct if India is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual bettors. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular toss outcome, you might see the odds on Polymarket diverge from those offered by sportsbooks. This can be a useful signal for identifying potential value, but it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different information and approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. As more shares are traded for a particular result, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived chance of occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome, allowing traders to express their views and profit if their predictions prove correct. The current price movements indicate how the crowd is assessing the likelihood of each team winning the toss.
This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the New Zealand vs India T20 toss is verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will settle to 100% for the winning team of the toss, as determined by the official match broadcast or governing body announcement. The resolution process relies on publicly available information to ensure an accurate and transparent outcome for all traders participating in this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding potential weather conditions at the match venue, or updates on the playing conditions that might favor one team over another, could shift sentiment. Also, late-breaking team news – for example, if a key player is unexpectedly ruled out – could impact perceptions of each team’s chances. Finally, general shifts in public opinion or analysis regarding the teams’ toss-winning records could also contribute to price movements in this market.
