This market refers to the cricket match between New Zealand and India scheduled for October 27 2026 at 3:00 AM ET in India Tour of New Zealand T20s. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective belief of traders who have 'skin in the game'. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. If there's significant disagreement between the two, it might indicate that prediction market participants have access to, or place greater weight on, information not fully factored into sportsbook odds. It’s important to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a specific outcome. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the changing consensus. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a 'Yes' share, for example, indicates the market's implied probability that the outcome will occur. Higher demand for 'Yes' shares drives up the price, signaling increased confidence in that result. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results of the New Zealand vs India T20 series. Specifically, it will be determined whether the matches are completed as scheduled. Any postponements or cancellations will be considered when verifying the final result. The platform will rely on widely accepted sources to establish the definitive outcome of this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Unexpected player injuries or changes in team lineups are significant catalysts. Weather forecasts for the match locations will also play a role, as rain could lead to delays or cancellations. Any news regarding player form, strategic changes, or even pre-match interviews with key players could shift trader sentiment. Furthermore, major upsets in other T20 series or tournaments might impact perceptions of team strengths and influence trading behavior in this market.
