This market tracks whether the India Tour of New Zealand T20s cricket match between New Zealand and India will be completed. Currently, Polymarket gives a 99.0% probability to the match being completed, with a 19.0% probability assigned to the alternative outcome. Resolution will be based on the result reported at https://www.espncricinfo.com/. Keep an eye on the scheduled match time of October 24 2026 at 3:00 AM ET, as any delays or cancellations at that point will be a key signal for this market’s outcome.
This market refers to the cricket match between New Zealand and India scheduled for October 24 2026 at 3:00 AM ET in India Tour of New Zealand T20s. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, with this market sometimes showing higher or lower probabilities for certain outcomes compared to sportsbook offerings. It’s common to see prediction markets aggregate information from a wider range of sources and expert opinions, potentially leading to more accurate forecasts than those solely based on sportsbook algorithms.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of different outcomes. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome will happen, the higher the price of its shares will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd participating in the market, offering a unique perspective on the potential results of the New Zealand vs India T20 series.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the New Zealand vs India T20 series, as determined by official match scorecards and reporting from recognized sports news outlets. The specific outcome that triggers resolution will depend on the market question, but will be based on the series winner or other pre-defined criteria. Traders should monitor official sources for confirmation of the final results.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Unexpected player injuries to key players on either the New Zealand or India teams would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Major weather forecasts predicting disruptions to match schedules could also impact trading. Additionally, any significant news regarding team form, strategic changes, or pitch conditions could all serve as catalysts for movement. Public sentiment and analysis from cricket experts could also influence traders' decisions, leading to fluctuations in the odds until the series concludes.
