These markets track the total points scored by both teams during the second quarter of a college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to settle the outcome.
All markets resolve based on the combined points scored by both teams specifically during the second quarter of the Illinois vs Michigan St. college football game scheduled for October 10, 2026. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the actual second-quarter result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Each individual market has a unique threshold for the total points required for a 'Yes' outcome, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. Only points scored in the second quarter count toward these thresholds. Kalshi explicitly states it is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly before significant events or when new information emerges. Examining these differences can provide valuable insights into public perception and potential value in either market, though direct comparisons should be made cautiously.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the second quarter of the Illinois vs Michigan St. game will be used to determine whether the 'Over' or 'Under' contracts will pay out. The precise point total will be sourced from official game statistics and confirmed by the platform’s procedures, ensuring a transparent and verifiable resolution process.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Illinois or Michigan St. teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. Furthermore, early performance in the first quarter of the game and any in-game adjustments made by the coaches could all contribute to price fluctuations as traders react to the unfolding events.
