This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Uganda and Zambia scheduled for October 20 2026 at 5:00 AM ET in ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier C. The outcome corresponding to Uganda will be considered correct if Uganda is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Zambia will be considered correct if Zambia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the opinions of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can create arbitrage opportunities by betting on Polymarket. This dynamic can lead to prediction market odds being more accurate, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available, though discrepancies can still occur due to differing risk assessments and market participants.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the toss – which team wins – will be the determining factor. The official announcement from the match officials will serve as the basis for verifying the outcome. Traders who correctly predicted the winning team will receive a payout proportional to their shareholding, while those who bet on the losing team will forfeit their stake. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective evidence.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team form, player availability, or pitch conditions could shift expectations. For example, if a key player is unexpectedly ruled out of the match, it might affect the perceived chances of either team winning the toss. Weather forecasts also play a role, as conditions can influence toss strategy. Public sentiment, as reflected in social media or expert analysis, can also subtly move the market. Ultimately, any new information that alters the perceived probability of each outcome has the potential to impact trading volume and prices.
