Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Mozambique and Zambia scheduled for October 25 2026 at 4:30 AM ET in ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier C. The outcome corresponding to Mozambique will be considered correct if Mozambique is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Zambia will be considered correct if Zambia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, with prediction markets sometimes offering more favorable odds, particularly when there's strong disagreement with the broader public perception. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different information and motivations, and this market’s pricing is driven by informed traders.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes of the toss, and the price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a constant product market maker model, meaning the product of the share prices for all possible outcomes remains constant, ensuring there’s always a market for both sides of the trade. This dynamic pricing allows for a real-time assessment of the toss’s potential results.

This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the toss – which team wins the coin flip – will be sourced from official tournament broadcasts or reputable sports news outlets. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine the winning share. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final share price at the time of resolution. This ensures a transparent and verifiable process for determining the market’s results.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding team form, potential weather conditions affecting the toss, or even perceived biases in the coin flip itself could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player availability or changes in team strategy might also play a role. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed individuals could quickly alter the odds, especially close to the event time. Monitoring these signals and analyzing the trading activity on Polymarket can provide insights into potential market movements before the toss takes place.
