This market refers to the cricket match between Mozambique and Gambia scheduled for October 21 2026 at 5:00 AM ET in ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier C. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could suggest the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome in the Mozambique vs Gambia match. However, it's important to remember that both represent different forms of forecasting, and neither is always correct.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a specific outcome in the Mozambique vs Gambia match. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the perceived chance of that outcome occurring, allowing traders to express their views and profit if their predictions prove accurate. The current trading volume influences how quickly prices adjust to new information.
This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Mozambique vs Gambia match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team, as officially declared by the tournament organizers, will determine the settlement of this market. Traders who hold shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their stake. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objectively verifiable information.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market before Oct 28, 2026. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player form, or unexpected weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Pre-match analysis from sports commentators and analysts, along with any public statements from team officials, could also play a role. Furthermore, significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks might attract attention and influence traders on Polymarket to reassess their positions regarding the Mozambique vs Gambia match.
