Typically, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more informed consensus than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of many individuals with financial stake in the outcome. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim for a more accurate representation of true probabilities. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes move this market, particularly if a major betting line shift occurs. It's common to see initial discrepancies between the two, which narrow as the event draws closer and more information becomes available.
