Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event occurring, as determined by traders. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, particularly when there is significant public interest or disagreement about the likely outcome. This market may offer insights that differ from initial sportsbook lines, potentially identifying undervalued or overvalued opportunities based on the wisdom of the crowd.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders can buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds continuously adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment among traders.

This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Hura Orest vs. Ruslan Haiseniuk match as reported by the governing sporting body. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand how this market will settle.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market before Oct 24, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in prior matches could shift trader sentiment. Publicly available analysis from sports commentators and experts might also impact the perceived probabilities.
