Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, focusing on the first goal scored within the standard 90-minute match timeframe, and share the same hierarchy of data sources for settlement.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics from the governing body or event organizers, followed by Flashscore and Sofascore.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first goal scored during the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the winner.
  • If no goal is scored within the first 90 minutes plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are explicitly excluded from consideration.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics aren't available within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as the official final result is available, but no later than 24 hours after the event's conclusion, potentially utilizing fallback data sources if necessary. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.
