Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before a significant amount of volume accumulates. Examining these differences can be insightful, as prediction markets sometimes identify mispriced outcomes that sportsbooks have overlooked. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual result.
