Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. This market, like others, can incorporate information from a wider range of sources and potentially offer more accurate predictions as traders weigh various factors. Sportsbooks typically set odds based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market benefits from the collective intelligence of many participants. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook’s initial assessment.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing reflects the aggregated wisdom of the crowd and provides a real-time assessment of the likelihood of each competitor winning the match.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Hovorunets vs. Skhabitskiy match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final match results to understand how this market will settle.
