All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the third quarter of the Houston vs Kansas State college football game scheduled for October 10, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction markets like Kalshi often reflect information beyond what’s captured in traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, whereas this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. While sportsbook odds are readily available, they may not fully incorporate all available information or account for nuanced factors that traders on Kalshi consider. It’s common to see differences, especially as new information emerges closer to the event.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 3rd quarter between Houston and Kansas St. will be used to determine whether the total points scored were over or under 7.5. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and verifiable result. Traders holding contracts on the correct side of the outcome will receive a payout based on the final market price.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries to key offensive players on either Houston or Kansas St. would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also move the market. Additionally, in-game performance during the first half of the game, and any adjustments to offensive or defensive strategies, could lead traders to reassess their predictions and adjust their positions, causing price fluctuations in this market.
