This event tracks which player will gain the most rushing yards in a specific football game between Houston and Jacksonville. Each market focuses on a different player, determining whether that individual achieves the highest rushing yardage total in the contest. The outcome depends purely on the players' performance during the game.
The event determines whether specified players record the most rushing yards in the Houston vs. Jacksonville Pro Football game scheduled for October 18, 2026. For each market, if the named player achieves the highest rushing yardage among all participants, the market resolves to Yes. If the player does not participate, the market resolves to No. In case of a tie for the most rushing yards among multiple players, the payout is divided equally among all tied markets at a rate of 1/N, where N is the number of players tied. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original schedule, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe a player will outperform expectations, the price for that outcome will rise, potentially moving further away from initial sportsbook lines. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public opinion shifts closer to game time.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The player with the most official rushing yards as recorded by the NFL will be considered the winner. Official NFL statistics will be used to determine the final result, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome. Traders should monitor official sources for the final statistics to understand how this market will be settled.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries to key running backs on either team would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they predict heavy rain or snow, could also shift expectations towards a more run-heavy offensive approach. Additionally, late-breaking news about coaching strategies or defensive matchups could influence trader behavior. Finally, public sentiment and expert analysis leading up to the game can all contribute to movement in the NFL rushing yards market.
