Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set initial odds based on their own analysis, incorporating factors like team statistics and expert opinions. This market, however, is driven by the collective predictions of traders who may consider a wider range of information, including news, injuries, and even subtle factors not easily quantifiable by sportsbooks. Discrepancies can emerge as traders react to new information or express differing viewpoints on the likely outcome of the Dash vs. Spirit second half.

This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by which team wins the second half of the Houston Dash versus Washington Spirit match, or if the half ends in a draw. The platform will verify the official result reported by the league and finalize the market accordingly. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the outcome and their positions in this market.

Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either the Dash or the Spirit would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team's playing style, could also move the market. Furthermore, in-game events during the first half, such as a red card or a key goal, could prompt traders to reassess their predictions and adjust their positions, leading to price fluctuations in this market.
