Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by factors like house bias or public perception. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own analysis. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Examining these differences can reveal insights into where the crowd believes sportsbooks may be over or underestimating the true probability of an outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team—the Houston Dash or the Orlando Pride—wins the second half of the match. Official match results reported by recognized sports authorities will be used to determine the winning team. The platform will verify the result against these sources to ensure accuracy and finalize the market's settlement. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the confirmed outcome.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team formations, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about key players being unavailable would likely have a significant impact. Furthermore, real-time updates during the first half of the match, such as early goals or red cards, could also cause substantial price movements. Shifts in public opinion, reflected in social media or sports news, might also contribute to changes in the market’s pricing.
