Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. This market, like others, can incorporate information and analysis from a wider range of sources than sportsbooks, which may be more influenced by public betting patterns or house biases. While sportsbooks set odds based on implied probabilities and profit margins, this market allows individuals to express their own informed opinions, potentially leading to odds that diverge from those offered elsewhere. It’s a useful exercise to compare the two and consider the reasoning behind any differences.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice-versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd and adjusts in real-time based on new information and trading activity. The platform facilitates this process, allowing for a fluid and efficient expression of predictions.

This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Horak vs. Kolman match. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. The resolution process aims to be transparent and objective, relying on publicly available information to ensure a fair and accurate outcome for all participants in this market.
