Description

This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between Weibo Gaming and Hero JiuJing in the King Pro League Grand Finals Group Stage, initially scheduled for October 16, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Weibo Gaming" if Weibo Gaming win the match against Hero JiuJing. This market will resolve to "Hero JiuJing" if Hero JiuJing win the match against Weibo Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 16, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Currently, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of traders on Polymarket. These odds often differ from traditional sportsbooks due to varying factors, such as differing levels of information and the incentives of participants. Sportsbooks aim to profit from setting lines, while prediction market traders are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when a significant amount of unique information is incorporated into the prediction market. It’s interesting to compare the implied probabilities from both sources to see where the consensus lies.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe Weibo Gaming will win, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb, and vice-versa for Hero JiuJing. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and sentiment surrounding the King Pro League playoffs.

This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the results of the Weibo Gaming versus Hero JiuJing best-of-five series are verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team, as officially declared by the King Pro League organizers, will determine the market’s resolution. The platform will then verify the result and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the winner of the King Pro League playoffs.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Unexpected news regarding player form, injuries, or strategic shifts within either team could significantly impact trader sentiment. In-game performance during the series itself, such as dominant wins or surprising upsets in early matches, will likely cause rapid price adjustments. Analyst opinions and public polls, while not directly impacting the market, can also influence trader behavior and contribute to price movements. Any significant development related to the teams or the competition could shift the probabilities reflected in this market.
