This market refers to the Honor of Kings Upper Bracket Semifinal 1 match between Saigon Phantom and BOOM Esports in the Arena of Glory Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Saigon Phantom" if Saigon Phantom win the match against BOOM Esports. This market will resolve to "BOOM Esports" if BOOM Esports win the match against Saigon Phantom. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 23, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on team rankings and expert analysis, but may be slower to incorporate new information or shifts in public opinion. This market, driven by active traders on Polymarket, aims to quickly synthesize available data and provide a potentially more accurate assessment of the likely outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing methodologies and the incentives of participants in each venue.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe Saigon Phantom will win a game, for example, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the results of the Honor of Kings Arena of Glory Playoffs match between Saigon Phantom and BOOM Esports are verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by the official results of the BO7 series, specifically which team emerges victorious. The platform will then verify the outcome against these sources to finalize the market and distribute payouts to winning share holders.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market leading up to Oct 23, 2026. Unexpected news regarding player health or team strategy, in-game performance during the series, or even shifts in public sentiment based on analyst predictions could all impact the odds. Major upsets in other related matches or changes to the game's meta could also play a role. Any information that alters perceptions of Saigon Phantom or BOOM Esports’ chances of winning will likely be reflected in the price of shares on Polymarket.
