In the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes cricket match between United Arab Emirates and Scotland, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11:30 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions, the market will resolve 50-50. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Monday, November 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve 50-50. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of participants, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by individuals’ willingness to buy or sell based on their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams’ strengths. Examining these differences can be insightful, providing a broader perspective on the potential outcome of the Hong Kong Sixes match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; increased buying pressure raises the price, indicating growing confidence in a particular outcome, while selling pressure lowers it. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information and changing perceptions.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Hong Kong Sixes match between the United Arab Emirates and Scotland. The platform will verify the final score and declare the winning outcome based on publicly available sources. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment. This ensures a transparent and objective resolution process.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding team composition, player injuries, or changes in playing conditions for either the United Arab Emirates or Scotland could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather forecasts or reports on pitch conditions could also play a role. Furthermore, any public statements from team captains or coaches, or even shifts in expert analysis, might prompt traders to reassess their predictions. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for understanding potential price movements in this market leading up to Nov 8, 2026.
