This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between United Arab Emirates and India scheduled for October 30 2026 at 10:35 PM ET in Hong Kong Sixes. The outcome corresponding to United Arab Emirates will be considered correct if United Arab Emirates is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to India will be considered correct if India is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, driven by traders on Polymarket, represents a collective forecast, potentially identifying information not fully captured by sportsbooks. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, access to information, or simply the dynamic nature of trading as new data emerges. It’s common to see prediction markets converge towards the true probability as the event approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the toss. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price fluctuates based on supply and demand, influenced by news, analysis, and overall market sentiment. This creates a dynamic and efficient way to forecast the toss result.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the toss – which team wins – will be determined by the official announcement made during the Hong Kong Sixes match. The platform will then verify this information against reliable sources to finalize the market and distribute payouts to winning traders. The outcome will be based on the officially recorded toss result, ensuring a transparent and accurate resolution process.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding team form, potential changes in playing conditions, or even expert analysis predicting a team's likelihood of winning the toss could cause price movements. Unexpected announcements related to the match, such as a key player injury, might also impact trader sentiment. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the probability of either team winning the toss has the potential to move this market before it resolves.
