Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Pakistan and United Arab Emirates scheduled for October 29 2026 at 10:35 PM ET in Hong Kong Sixes. The outcome corresponding to Pakistan will be considered correct if Pakistan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to United Arab Emirates will be considered correct if United Arab Emirates is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the probability of each outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can drive the price on Polymarket in a different direction. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts leading up to the event.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome – in this case, Pakistan or the United Arab Emirates winning the toss, or a draw. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more trades occur, the price adjusts, providing a real-time assessment of the likelihood of each result. The market is driven entirely by supply and demand among traders on the platform.

This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the toss – which team wins, or if it’s a draw – will be determined by the official result announced by the tournament organizers. The platform will then verify this information and settle the market accordingly, distributing payouts to traders who correctly predicted the outcome. The resolution process relies on publicly available information to ensure a fair and transparent outcome.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team form, player availability, or weather conditions at the match venue could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the toss procedure itself could also have an impact. Furthermore, large trades by influential market participants on Polymarket can create short-term price movements. Monitoring these signals and analyzing the evolving trading volume can provide insights into potential market shifts leading up to Nov 6, 2026.
