In the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes cricket match between Oman and Pakistan, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 1:15 AM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): This market refers to which team hits the greater number of sixes. The outcome corresponding to Oman will be considered correct if Oman is officially recorded as hitting more sixes than Pakistan. The outcome corresponding to Pakistan will be considered correct if Pakistan is officially recorded as hitting more sixes than Oman. If both teams record the same number of sixes, the market will resolve to "Draw". The market will resolve according to the team that hits the greater number of sixes in the match regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions)/ Only sixes scored from the bat (off any delivery- legal or not) will count towards the total sixes. Overthrows and extras do not count. Sixes scored in a super over do not count. In First Class games, only first innings sixes will count. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve "Draw". If the match is abandoned or otherwise completed without official sixes statistics being recorded, the market will resolve "Draw".

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases based on public perception or promotional incentives, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If sportsbooks heavily favor one team, you might see a divergence in probabilities here, as traders weigh factors sportsbooks might overlook. It's common to see differences, especially in events where information isn't widely disseminated or where subjective factors play a significant role.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome – Oman winning or Pakistan winning. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likely winner in terms of sixes hit.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team – Oman or Pakistan – hits the most sixes during their Hong Kong Sixes match. The official match results will be used to determine the winning outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized on Polymarket.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player form, potential changes to the playing conditions (like a particularly small ground favoring six-hitting), or even weather forecasts could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about team lineups or injuries could also cause significant price movements. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of each team’s ability to hit sixes has the potential to impact the probabilities reflected in this market.
