In the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes cricket match between England and South Africa, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 1:20 AM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions, the market will resolve 50-50. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve 50-50. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is mispricing a team's chances, the prediction market may show a different probability. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been wagered on either side, as information asymmetry plays a role in both.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. The market's price is driven entirely by supply and demand from users on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The platform will look to widely accepted sources to determine the winner, and the market will settle accordingly. Traders should monitor official announcements to understand how the result will be determined and reported for this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Nov 8, 2026. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in playing conditions could shift trader sentiment.
