In the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes cricket match between Bangladesh and South Africa, originally scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026 at 11:30 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result. The outcome corresponding to Bangladesh will be considered correct if Bangladesh is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to South Africa will be considered correct if South Africa is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Sunday, November 1, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is abandoned or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw".

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to express their own probabilities based on available information and analysis. If there's a significant discrepancy, it may indicate differing opinions on the likelihood of a particular outcome, or potentially information not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines. It’s important to compare and contrast to form your own informed opinion.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the toss – which team wins – will be the determining factor. The platform will verify the outcome against official sources to ensure accuracy and finalize the settlement of the market. Traders who correctly predicted the toss winner will receive a payout based on the final odds at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team form, player availability, or even weather conditions at the match venue could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about team strategies or changes in the playing conditions could also have an impact. Furthermore, large trades on Polymarket itself can cause short-term price fluctuations, reflecting shifts in demand and supply as traders react to new information or adjust their positions.
