In the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes cricket match between Australia and Afghanistan, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 2:10 AM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions, the market will resolve 50-50. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve 50-50. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe Australia will win, for example, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb. This creates a dynamic pricing system driven by supply and demand, constantly updating as new information and opinions are factored in by traders.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on the official result of the Hong Kong Sixes match between Australia and Afghanistan. The platform will rely on widely available and trusted sources to determine the winner, ensuring a transparent and accurate outcome. Traders should monitor official announcements regarding the match result to understand when the market will be settled and payouts will be distributed based on the final result.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the Hong Kong Sixes tournament itself, such as rule changes or venue adjustments, could also have an impact. Furthermore, general shifts in public opinion or expert predictions regarding the relative strengths of Australia and Afghanistan could drive price movements. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how this market evolves leading up to the Nov 8, 2026 resolution.
