In the upcoming 2. Bundesliga game between Holstein Kiel and Hertha BSC, scheduled for October 16, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Holstein Kiel vs. Hertha BSC match originally scheduled for October 16, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, which can sometimes differ from sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly in events where public perception deviates from expert analysis. Examining these differences can reveal insights into potential value or mispricing, offering a unique perspective compared to traditional betting venues. This difference can be especially pronounced in less liquid markets.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a specific exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds continuously adapt to new information and changing sentiment surrounding the Holstein Kiel vs. Hertha BSC match.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Holstein Kiel vs. Hertha BSC match, specifically the exact score, will be used to determine the winning outcome. The platform will verify this information against reliable sources to ensure accuracy. Traders who hold shares in the correct exact score outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution. It's important to monitor the event's progress leading up to this date.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market before Oct 16, 2026. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced by either Holstein Kiel or Hertha BSC could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match commentary from football analysts, could also play a role. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large trades on Polymarket itself can create momentum and drive price fluctuations. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding potential shifts in the market.
