Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probability as assessed by traders. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. If a large number of people believe one outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly, potentially offering value for informed traders. It’s important to compare both to make well-rounded decisions.
