Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams' strengths. It's worth comparing the odds on Polymarket to those offered by major sportsbooks to see if any significant differences exist and potentially identify value.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its shares will climb. This dynamic pricing reflects the aggregated intelligence of the crowd, providing a real-time assessment of the second half's potential result.

This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team formations, or even weather conditions could impact perceived probabilities.
