Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome, leading to potentially more efficient pricing. If there’s significant disagreement between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event, or vice versa. It’s a useful comparison point for informed decision-making.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand, meaning it’s a direct expression of collective prediction. The current price reflects the aggregated assessment of all traders participating in this market.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Hohenko vs. Shkurupii match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result, as that will be the basis for settlement. It’s important to note that the platform relies on publicly available data for resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 24, 2026.
