In the upcoming Scottish Premiership game between Hibernian FC and Celtic FC, scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 8:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Hibernian FC vs. Celtic FC match originally scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 8:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the aggregated sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand – if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price and increasing its implied probability. Conversely, if traders think an outcome is unlikely, they will sell shares, lowering the price.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Hibernian vs. Celtic match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will determine the winning outcome in this market. The resolution will be based on the exact final score of the match, including any extra time or penalty shootouts if applicable. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result and their holdings in the winning outcome shares.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Hibernian FC or Celtic FC would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in team formations, weather forecasts, or even pre-match managerial comments could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches involving these teams, or significant changes in their league standings, might also play a role. A major upset in a similar recent match could also cause traders to reassess their probabilities, leading to fluctuations in share prices within this market.
