Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Therefore, you may find that the odds on Polymarket differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. These differences can arise from varying levels of information, differing analytical approaches, or simply the collective opinion of the crowd. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a significant amount of trading volume occurs.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous exchange mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and the probability of that outcome rises accordingly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on the Polymarket platform, and is not influenced by external factors or a central authority.

This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Valerii vs. Danylo match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders who hold shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution. The exact payout will depend on the trading activity leading up to the event.

Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions could impact trader sentiment and shift the odds. Unexpected announcements about the players' form or preparation could also cause fluctuations. Furthermore, significant trading volume from informed traders or large groups could also influence the price. Monitoring these factors will be key to understanding how this market evolves leading up to Nov 3, 2026.
